🌿✨ Overcoming Thyroid Issues Naturally ✨🌿
For a long time, I have faced challenges with my thyroid, experiencing the burden of fatigue and frustration. Despite numerous visits to the doctor and attempts with synthetic medications, it became clear to me that I needed to explore a different approach. I am confident that I have tested all available synthetic drugs without success. My doctor assured me that these medications would address my fatigue, assist in weight loss, and enhance my thyroid function. However, the outcome was quite the opposite - I gained 30 pounds and felt even more exhausted than before! This was not the quality of life I desired.
Despite expressing my concerns to both my GP and OB for three years, I was not making any progress. This led me to take control of my health. In addition to experiencing fatigue and weight gain, I developed hives and had unexplained facial swelling in various areas. I felt trapped in my own body, not just physically but mentally drained as well. Due to my symptoms, my GP referred me to an allergist and immunologist, who identified that I had an autoimmune condition upon examination. Subsequent tests revealed multiple food allergies, sensitivities, Hashimoto’s, and other abnormal ANA markers. Unfortunately, the only solution offered was to take synthetic thyroid medication, which proved ineffective for me.
During this period, my family and I relocated to a new residence, and fortunately, our neighbor turned out to be a homeopathic doctor. Upon reviewing my test results and hearing about my symptoms, she addressed the queries that my primary physicians had overlooked. Despite raising concerns about hormonal changes with my OB, I was unfortunately brushed off and advised to take antidepressants. I was convinced that this was not the solution to my problems and continued enduring the symptoms. When my neighbor recommended consulting a hormone specialist, I was thrilled. Little did I know that she would assist me in transitioning from Synthroid to natural thyroid treatment.

If you are in your 40s, I highly recommend consulting a hormone specialist or discussing hormone testing with your doctor (my husband has also found benefit in this). Over the past year, I switched to natural thyroid medication and saw improvements in all thyroid markers without the side effects I experienced with synthetic medications. Additionally, starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has had a tremendous impact on my life! I now feel more energized, happier, and have lost 40lbs through hard work and dedication. The most rewarding part is being able to play a full round of golf without feeling tired or achy the following day. ·      Listen to Your Body: Everyone's journey is unique. I learned to tune into what my body needed and adjusted my lifestyle accordingly.
·      Incorporate Whole Foods: Nutrition plays a vital role in thyroid health. I focused on nutrient-dense foods like leafy greens, healthy fats, and lean proteins.Â
·      Allergy testing allowed me to find foods I was allergic and intolerant to. I took this list and eliminated those foods. Do I eat them sometimes, YES, and let me tell you it shows when I do!
·      Stress Management: Practicing yoga and mindfulness has helped me manage stress, which is essential for hormone balance. I also practiced lymphatic drainage techniques and redlight therapy, which helped with facial swelling.
·      Take the right supplements and herbs that help heal your body and most of all your GUT!
